Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) recently launched consultations on a proposal to make major changes to the way that research and variety development is funded for many major Canadian crops. In this session AAFC will present two options for variety development funding of Canadian crops going forward: end point royalties and trailing royalties. This question and answer session will give farmers an opportunity to provide feedback directly to AAFC as part of the ongoing consultation and understand how farmers will be impacted with respect to all farmer-directed research.
Registration for CropSphere is not required for this session. All producers are welcome and encouraged to attend.
