Melissa is the North American Barley Agronomist for Cargill Ltd.- Prairie Malt located in Biggar, SK. She joined Cargill in 2007 and has since gained experience in agronomy consulting, crop input sales, as well as sales management. In June of 2016, she joined Prairie Malt where she provides agronomic support and education to malt barley producers. She also conducts trials on the implementation of new malt barley varieties with the purpose of increasing and sustaining malt acres in Canada.
Melissa obtained her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, majoring in Agronomy, at the University of Saskatchewan in April of 2009. She has been a practicing Professional Agrologist with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists since June of 2013. Melissa resides in her hometown of Biggar, SK. with her husband and three young boys.
