Troy LaForge is the Agronomy Head for the Ultimate Yield Management Institute, an agronomy consulting business. In his formative years, Troy always had an interest in agriculture and the different practices that were used within it.
This led him to pursue a degree in Agriculture, which he obtained from the University of Saskatchewan in 1998, after which he worked in a retail setting for just over a year before beginning his consulting career in 2000. He has been consulting on agronomic issues with growers in Saskatchewan and Alberta ever since.
Troy’s consulting focuses around six principles of agronomy that, when applied to production management, help growers predict and manage their outcomes. Long-term profitability and production are his key goals in helping growers produce quality food efficiently. Troy also farms and ranches with his wife and boys in the Cadillac area, south of Swift Current.
