Eric Johnson


Eric Johnson works as a Research Assistant for the Weed Research Program in the Department of Plant Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan. He was born and raised on a grain farm northeast of Eston, SK.

Eric received both his Bachelor and Masters of Science in Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan. He has over 30 years of research and technology transfer experience, working as a Weed Biologist and Officer-In-Charge for Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in Scott, as well as an Extension/Soils and Crops Agrologist for the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture.

Eric has led and collaborated on studies in cultural, chemical, and mechanical weed control and Pesticide Minor Use. He joined the University of Saskatchewan in 2015.
